Wingspread
Frank Lloyd Wright's Wingspread, built between 1938 and 1939 for Herbert Fisk Johnson Jr., the president of S.C. Johnson, is an extreme example of Wright's Prairie Style. The brick pinwheel design spreads its expansive wings out from a large central hall, creating a huge footprint that seems unimaginable for a residential home. These photos where taken in July of 2018, during a weeklong tour of Frank Lloyd Wright designs in Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
